Border Steelwork Structures provided the structural steelwork and cladding envelope for the new MBT plant at Bolton Road, Manvers.
The Main Mechanical Biological Treatment (MBT) building contains a Tipping area, Process area, a Refinement building and two 3-storey Control rooms attached to the sides.
There are also ancillary Vehicle Workshop, Substation and Visitor Centre buildings.
The BDR Waste Partnership which consists of Barnsley, Doncaster and Rotherham Councils has signed a 25 year contract for the treatment of up to 265,000 tonnes of black bag waste per year.
